WHAT'S THE STORY?

My name is Vasilis Pazionis...but most people call me Billy. I live and work in New York as a Freelance Photographer. I am hooked on photography, film, music and graphic design. I was born in this great city to a Greek physicist and a Spanish-American lawyer but lived most of my early life in Munich, Germany. At the tender age of 18 I moved from Germany to the UK where I attained a BA in Film, Photography & TV at the University of Leeds. I have always been fascinated by photography but my original idea was to pursue a career in film because I always had a passion for telling stories. While at University I found a stockpile of cameras that no one was using and so I started using them to document the people, places & moments going on around me. That ball just hasn't stopped rolling ever since! After graduating I worked in London as an assistant for a while, working with numerous photographers, but operating primarily out of Expose Studios with the always awesome action & lifestyle shooter, Adrian Myers. So far I have shot for clients Annex Films, Bel Hair Magazine, Top Hair Magazine, Daily Mail Ski & Snow, I Need It, Paul Mitchell, Prez Powerz & The Other Guys, TheMST.com and Ventisse Records. I have also retouched for the Army, the Royal Air Force, Daily Mail Ski & Snow, F1 Racing, Sports Magazine and Spikes Magazine. Thanks for snooping around! |
